'US Emergency Services Supplier Chooses Electrodata.
Monday, 12 December 2005
Electrodata is pleased to announce the signing of a long term licensing agreement with a major manufacturer of emergency despatch equipment in the USA, for Electrodata's Quiklog instant recall recording software.

This software runs on standard computer platforms and performs the recording and instant replay functions that were hitherto only available using expensive hardware based recording devices.

Instant recall recorders are used by emergency despatch centres throughout the world to track their telephone and 2-way radio conversations between operators and the public as well as between the operators and the ambulances, fire engines and/or police vehicles under their control. In stressful circumstances, where conversations may be blurred or abruptly halted, the recorder can be vital in allowing operators and managers to quickly repeat messages and fully assess situations.

Electrodata has been building multi-channel voice logging recorders since 1975 and has been in the business of supplying instant recall recorders since 1983. Its technology has passed through three generations in this time, starting with an analogue reel-to-reel tape system in 1980. With the advent of cheaper memory chips and microprocessors, this technology was replaced in 1985, by a solid state recorder, hundreds of which are still in use today in Australia.

Electrodata is a privately held Australian company that has been designing and building recording equipment since its inception in 1970. In addition to its instant recall products, it has an extensive range of multi-channel voice logging recorders used by call centres, financial institutions and emergency services throughout the world.
