A purpose built recorder has been commissioned by a major Australian government department to record all Radio and TV soundtracks emanating from the Sydney metro area. Using the latest Redundant Array of Independent Disks RAID technology, the recorder features twin RAID 40GB internal hard disks for program files and an incredible 1 Terabyte (1000GB) extended RAID5 array for on-line storage. This Maxitrac system can record and have available on line up to 5 years of normal telephone recording or 2 channel years of continuous radio information.
