A purpose built Maxitrac recorder has been delivered to the N.S.W. Premiers Department to record talk-back radio and TV sound broadcast in the Sydney metropolitan area. Using the latest Redundant Array of Independent Disks RAID technology, the recorder features twin redundant 40GB internal hard disks for program files and an incredible one Terabyte (1000GB) extended RAID5 array for on-line storage. The Maxitrac system can record and have available on line up to five years of normal telephone recordings or two channel-years of continuous radio information.
