The next technology wave is coming, and it's called VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The Wikipedia describes VoIP as IP Telephony, also called 'Internet telephony', is the technology that makes it possible to have a telephone conversation over the Internet or a dedicated Internet Protocol (IP) network instead of dedicated voice transmission lines. This allows the elimination of circuit switching and the associated waste of bandwidth. Instead, packet switching is used, where IP packets with voice data are sent over the network only when data needs to be sent, i.e., when a caller is talking.
With the assistance of OEM technology, we are now able to offer recorder solutions for the following VoIP switches: | Cisco | Nortel | Avaya | | 3Com | NBX/SS3 | NBX Layer 3 | | Citel | Alcatel | Mitel | | Splicecom | | |
If you are thinking of converting your telephone system to VoIP technology and you need to have recording, please call us now on (+612) 8844 9300 to discuss and advise on your requirements.
